Ultra Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 We've had plenty of these "messiahs" ride into town before, and not that long ago either - Peter Taylor, the poison dwarf and Craig Levein to name but three. All promised much and delivered absolutely jack. Mandaric could very easily do likewise. His arrival may make a revival possible but wouldn't guarantee it - that would depend on his choice of manager, and in this area his judgement is notoriously suspect (at Pompey his failure rate was 80%+). And the fact that his "divorce" from Portsmouth is yet to be legally ratified also raises doubts about the true depth of his commitment to our club. If the takeover happens we could just as easily go downwards as upwards.
Thracian Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Why do I get the feeling you have either been visiting some seedy websites tonight or have spied a barmaid with a low cut top? I'd just returned from watching a performance of "Oliver" at the New Vic Theatre in Stoke with my family but yes, the girl on the row in front did look rather nice. And if she was a barmaid then I'd imagine the pub would have no trouble attracting customers!.
Geo V Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 He is bored of the doing nothing and see`s Leicester as the ideal club to invest in as they have clearly got Champions League aspirations. Oh, and he wants to make a quick buck before punting us off to the owner of Spartak Moscow
Bloomer Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 He's just a front man for Gilbert Kinch - the real brains behind it all.
