Lineker's Left Foot Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Don't know if this has been done before, or should be put onto one of the Milan threads already, but what is his ultimate ambition for Leicester. A friend of mine says it will be to establish City in the top-flight before selling us onto a bigger foreign investor of the Abramovich or Gaydamak ilk??? What is his long-term ambitions folks???
Joe. Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 To make lots of money. To him we are a business not a football club. He wants success and with success comes money.
City Lad Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 premiership, good relation with the fans, make money.
filbertway Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Get us into the prem then sell us on for profit.
RowlattsFox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 to get money and the only way he can make money is to make us an successful premier league club.
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 It's all a joke to be revealed on the first of April. What fools we are.
AyewJoking Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 To make us an established Premiership club which will mean a tasty profit for him when he decides to sell up and do something else.
Daggers Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 I think it will probably be to reverse the stupid decision to remove the 10% shop discount from shareholders.
Flynny Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Of course he wants to make money, but he is a genuine footballing man. He wants to take us somewhere as well. He's a businessman, there's a billion ways he can make money, and doing it this way is fun for him. So yeah, he is in it for profit, but it's not like the man has no heart for football. He should be a good owner.
step Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Number one is make Money If he had to get us religated to do it, he would. Thank fully for MM to make money, city needs to succeed so we should all be happy
renards Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 To make us an established Premiership club which will mean a tasty profit for him when he decides to do something else. What like die, he's 68 for fecks sake! Well there is a story in tonights Mockery about a lady who has sadly just died days before her 106th birthday He may have a 40 year plan (hope i have to eat my words)
lildave3 Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 His main ambition will be to make a profit, like any businessman.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Hopefully his priority will be to sort out the catering in the 1884 Club. Makes Darren Kenton look like Gourmet Nosh.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Hopefully his priority will be to sort out the catering in the 1884 Club. Makes Darren Kenton look like Gourmet Nosh. Bit of a mixed metaphor here, no?
He's not bald Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Bit of a mixed metaphor here, no? Wanna know the real reason? He thinks there's oil under the A&L stand, but it's just chip fat from the 1884 ssssh!
lcfc_jme Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 To get us into the Premiership, where he can keep us for a couple of seasons so we look comfortable and then he can sell us to somebody else for more than he bought us for
Thracian Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 As far as he's concerned we're currently the "Most Likely" lads. We're to be his new toy. If it works it'll be more fun than buying pork bellies. Portsmouth will have felt like a good lay. He'd love to show he can be a successful stud to a new mistress. But it's an art that requires perfect timing. The ability to recognise when the relationship's reached it's peak. If all goes well he'll eventually sell out just as the club reaches a footballing climax. If not, like any relationship it could all end in acrimony and disappointment all round. I remain sceptical.

Why do I get the feeling you have either been visiting some seedy websites tonight or have spied a barmaid with a low cut top?
Burnsy Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I reckon he only wants us for the belvoir drive training ground to develop property/houses on it You think how many houses hed build on there hed soon get his money back and get a free football club with it
London_Fox Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Clearly he wants to make money and do it, most likely, through success and then seeling us on BUT I think the difference is that MM also really likes the attention and adoration of the fans, he wants to be popular and seen as some kind of messiah to 30 000ish people.
