I think we'll play 4-4-2 on saturday and with Gillespie still banned we need a right sided midfielder. Scowy won't play out there I doubt and with Maybury probably slotting in at left back with Stewart moving to left wing I think Canero will get a start. I'm probably wrong though, wingbacks seems more sensible considering the squad we have at the minute, but i'd like to see more of Canero as he's quality. We have two great full backs in Maybury and Canero, i'd try and get rid of Makin if we can.
Scow Posted 7 January 2005 Posted 7 January 2005 I wouldn't mind us playing a 4-4-2 if we played Stewart and Canero on the wings. At least it would offer us some pace and genuine width. However, if we are going to play that formation, we need some energy in the midfield. Dawson and Williams please.

Strong on both flanks, with a combination of energy and creativity in the centre with Dawson and Williams.
BartonFox Posted 7 January 2005 Posted 7 January 2005 If he goes 442 then I would imagine Maybury and Makin would be full backs with Canero and Stewart out wide in midfield. Personally I reckon he'll go with 3-5-2 Walker/Pressman (Taylor is cup-tied) Stearman Dublin/Keown/Dabizas Heath Maybury Gemmill Dawson Williams Stewart Connolly de Vries Nalis Wright Gudjohnsson Scowcroft Dabizas/Keown/Dublin

What's missing is the confidence of winning in our team, if we get that along with a team similar to that one plus a few more additions I can't see why we can't get up the league. I personally don't think there's many teams that have unbelievably strong teams in this league, the one thing that makes this league what it is is the confidence some teams have. That's all that's really needed to get out of this horrible league.
