I have seen managers come and go and i believe Levien has the toughest task out of all of them due to the general crapness of thw squad he has inherited. (alot of old and or poor quality players _ and he hasnt got a "heskey" or a "joachim" good luck to him cus its a tough task. Craig good luck mate, i wont hold it against u if u dont do anygood !

I think if we stick by Levein he'll start to build a good, young side and the exciting times will return again.

He's already stated that the club lacks stability, and he's made it clear that the standard is below par. I'm optimistic about the future, but to be honest, I've written this season off.

A certain Mr Taylor and his 3/4 year contracts to the likes of Elliott, Scowcroft, Benjamin etc etc - that didn't get us very far. Until the new players prove me wrong, I will be sceptical about them having contracts which are longer than 2 years.

Unfortunately, hindsight is more common than clairvoyancy! I would rather have committed players than not. Come to think of it, some of our current squad need committing.....

Taylor also put them on £20k week wages, and splashed huge chunks of money out on them without thinking about it really. Levein isn't doing, or going to do that. I trust him.

The difference in the wages that he'll be paying his players and the amount Taylor offered his are worlds apart. I know we've been stung once but Taylor was a joke of a manager. He couldn't speak properly when he was interviewed, he used to disrespect us as supporters and he tried to stamp his style on the club when only subtle changes were needed. Levein talks alot of sense when interviewed, he's let us all know what his plans are for the future and he's not been afraid to speak his mind and say what he thinks about certain problems at the club. I'd like to see how the players react when he has one of his dressing room rants which he's stated he hasn't done as of yet. One thing I notice when I rate the players after matches is that only half are putting in the effort and the problem is that we very rarely get a game where over half of the team have really put the effort in. This might be because they've only come for the wages but I'm sure Maybury and De Vries haven't so now in games they'll be less of the money grabbing players that aren't putting the effort in. Maybury in for Makin and De Vries in for Scowcroft and we might have at least 7 players putting the effort in each week.

I believe that outside the top few clubs in the premier and especially in this and the lower leagues players and agents are looking more at security than massive short term sums. Also it will probably take at least 2 years to develop a decent team from the rock bottom we're at, so we don't want players clearing off just as we get settled. When you look at our current squad you will see that CL has probably got to sign 20+ players in the next 2 years so 3 year contracts seem perfectly sensible to me. We have to assume that CL has confidence in his signings and that the Business management at the club have learnt how to put a good contract together that doesn't jeopardise the future of the club.
