Computer Trouble

Recommended Posts

My desktop icons have dissappeared and wont come back and my documents,my pictures and my computer wont work and when you click on any of them this window pops up about DEP which is data execution protection. I thought you could fix this on control panel but when i clicked the control panel the DEP message comes to haunt me again.

Then my background says something about active desktop recovery, is anybody in the know in such matters as help would be much appreciated  Thanks

have you tried rebooting the computer? sorry I might not be of much help because i haven't really had this problem (although I've had most!) If that doesn't work you should be able to run active desktop recovery. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

hmmmm - you say you can't open control panel? Can you open system restore?

Start...

All Programs...

Accessories...

System Tools...

System Restore

Try and find a date where you know it worked and restore it to that - hopefully that should work
