Geo V Posted 2 March 2007 Posted 2 March 2007 Ive been watching the footy on 5 and they were covering a story on a young GK called Wayne Hennessey. He is on loan from Wolves. The amazing stats for him are that he has only ever played 8 league games and has kept clean sheets in all of them for Stockport!! He even played for Wales kids this season and kept a clean sheet. Thats 810 mins in his league career without conceeding a goal!! He seemed like a nice lad and was going on about bloody scoring for Wales against Turkey as well for the U-17s!! Is he the new Neville Southall??!! All pi**-taking aside, thats some impressive going! Good luck to the lad....
Milky Posted 2 March 2007 Posted 2 March 2007 You weren't the only one watching. Surely a keeper can only get so much credit for a run of clean sheets, i'd say it was mainly due to the defence and poor quality finishing.

Maybe alot of it was down to the factors you have mentioned but still never conceeding a goal in your career after 8 games is well worth applauding.
JoeyB Posted 2 March 2007 Posted 2 March 2007 sounds like a great keeper and from what ive seen he's pulled off some great saves
filbertway Posted 2 March 2007 Posted 2 March 2007 I signed him on football manager last years, he turned out to be quality, football manager is always right.
