Jonbluefox9 Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 1. My mother has been told by the St John leader that England Under 17's will be playing Serbia and Montenegro Under 17's at the Walkers Stadium on the Easter Saturday. It will be an evening kick off if anyone's interested. 2. My Dad bumped into his mate who works as a steward and he told him that the reason the pitch wasn't re-turfed during Christmas like last year is because it's going to be totally dug up in the summer anyway to be replaced with the new rugby/football pitch which is pretty predictable anyway. He also said that the ticket office staff are going to do the Leicester and Tigers tickets so no new staff will be brought in and a green cushion type item will be given to every Tiger's season ticket holder to make their seat green. This means that THE SEATS WILL STAY BLUE AND WON'T BE GREEN FOR LCFC MATCHES. So all those people that thought that was the most important factor can put their minds at rest.
Anish Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 I don't know whether to believe the second bit though. If I was a Tigers director I wouldn't settle for green removal cushions to all Tigers fans, especially if Tigers are going to own half the ground. Surely in pure business terms they will be equal partners in the joint venture and would want some significant changes to make the ground theirs.

Might not be true but he seems a reliable source.

Unless someone/many make a massive fuss about any feature of the share minimal changes will be made, people in general will soon forget especially if both teams are doing well.

He said they'd put them on before a match or something and I said I thought they'd all get nicked Happy with that if its true Didn't think it was the most important factor but it would certainly make me a little more comfortable with the move. I think they already have cusion-type things in the Tigers shop anyway? For the uncomfortable seats in their stadium? Always see people walking up the road with them when I'm on the way to the Walkers.
