lildave3 Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 0-1 Decent first half aswell. Been very impressed with the Birmingham front two, Vine and Bendtner. Bendtner's touch and technique is quality, strong aswell.
lookwhaticando Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Come on you Brummies. Where's that McSheffrey bloke playing then if they [Vine, Bend'er] are the front two? Left Wing? That confuses me 'cos I thought McSheffrey was s'posed to be a striker. Yours confusingly, Remote Fox.

That's why he was a good buy, a high scoring winger/striker.
lookwhaticando Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 I think he plays wide regularly, and did so for Cov. That's why he was a good buy, a high scoring winger/striker. Oh right. Fair enough. Oddly enough, he got sent off.   Is that also one of the qualities that made him so valuable? The ability leave bodies strewn across the pitch? Serious foul play it seems.
lookwhaticando Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 The Brummies have wheeled away with the points. And they go to the top of the league as a result. One point ahead of Derby, and they still have a game in hand. In fact just about everyone has a game in hand on Derby at the minute as they're the only team to have played 37...
lildave3 Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Full time 1-0. Good game i thought, McSheffrey sending off was for a supposedly double footed lunge although i felt a straight red was slightly harsh. Vine took his goal very well indeed and Brum have a premiership squad there. I think they will go up for certain, then one of Derby, Sunderland or West Brom to join them.

In agreement, Sunderland are flying at the mo, i can see them getting an automatic place west brom via play-offs
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Be a laugh if Derby and Forest both stay down this year.

They have a couple of tricky away games coming up. And McSheffrey's red card means he'll be out for both of them. Wins for West Brom and Sunderland this weekend will make the race even tighter. Still too early to predict with certainty who either of the final top two will be.
lookwhaticando Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 They have a couple of tricky away games coming up. Including a visit to the Walkers.
lcfc_jme Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Including a visit to the Walkers. Oh lookwhaticando deluded old man. A trip to the Walkers? Tricky away tie? Do behave yourself please! What kind of nonsensical comment was that?? Surely you know we will play the hoof game and try to limit Derbys attacking options by putting 8 defenders out, in the hope that we will win a freekick on the halfway line so we can punt it long and pack the box with big men?

Pssst... it's Birmingham I was talking about. And why do I find the highlighted comment so incredibly hilarious?
Ultra Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Based on what I saw in the away games, I see nothing to fear from either the bluenoses or the sheep when they visit our place. They will both come here looking for the win. That will play straight into our hands.
lcfc_jme Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Pssst... it's Birmingham I was talking about. And why do I find the highlighted comment so incredibly hilarious? When I press a link and only get one post come up (yours) I assume us to be talking about Derby, as when I read the title first thing I realised was they still had to come here (and Brum already look certs for automatic promotion so I discounted them). And about the comment, I think it's because we have players such as Wesolowski, Hume and Porter, who, between them, are about 5 foot 5. Anybody remember our wall against Fulham away? As for todays game, I thought Brums pitch was a disgrace, I'm thrilled to bits Derby got beat, and I loved the irony in the fact that the commentator said before the second half kicked off "there have been no bookings in this game" - second half was full of 'em, and even had a straight red (beautiful challenge by Mcsheffrey!)
Joe. Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Wooo, Let's all laugh at Derby, Let's all Laugh at Derby la la la la...... I hate Derby with a passion. I love Birmingham now
lcfc_jme Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Wooo, Let's all laugh at Derby, Let's all Laugh at Derby la la la la...... Hows about we can't? They're higher than us and playing much better football. Lets wait 'til next season shall we?
Joe. Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 Hows about we can't? They're higher than us and playing much better football. Lets wait 'til next season shall we? I don't care!!! It's just nice to see them lose a very crucial game for them... Damn it's such a shame
lcfc_jme Posted 9 March 2007 Posted 9 March 2007 I don't care!!! It's just nice to see them lose a very crucial game for them... Damn it's such a shame Oh I know what you mean. I very publicly stated I wanted Brum to win tonight, and they came through for me!! Derby didn't exactly look menacing either - only from set-pieces. Such a shame to see them lose a crucial game and struggle.

Anybody remember our wall against Fulham away? Your youthful innocence has led you to the wrong conclusion about that statement. I'll say n'more... you wouldn't like to hear what I was really on about.

I'll say n'more... you wouldn't like to hear what I was really on about. Oh no - make no mistake about it, I knew what you were getting at. . I chose to ignore it and go for a more sensible response which wouldn't lead to me being suspended or kicked off the forum. You say that almost as if there's something wrong with backing Brum. Indeed there is. I dislike them. . But not as much as I HATE Derby.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 March 2007 Posted 10 March 2007 Oh no - make no mistake about it, I knew what you were getting at. . I chose to ignore it and go for a more sensible response which wouldn't lead to me being suspended or kicked off the forum. Yeah, right. Indeed there is. I dislike them. . But not as much as I HATE Derby. I quite like 'em.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 March 2007 Posted 10 March 2007 Yeah, right. I did, but for the reason I gave, I didn't choose to pursue it. I chose instead to be mature and sensible. Maybe you should try it one time. I quite like 'em. By this you can only mean Brum, as no City fan likes Derby.. In which case, I'd have to ask you why.
