Recommended Posts

i just had one about 10 mins ago called John Bradford or something and he rang wanting to speak to his wife.

i said to him "i can assure you she isn't here" lol and was going to say something else but didn't want to...

So what happens when they ring you?

when i lived in leicester i had a lovely elderly couple ring me almost everyday for a couple of weeks, convinced i was the doctors and blaming me because the number they had been given was my number and not the doctors, and it was also my fault that i wasn't their doctor.

now (despite being on telephone preference) i get some broadband company from london ringing, and having caller display; my daughter (3 years old) gets on with them quite well now.

Give them shit. Wind them up.

1. It can be funny.

2. They have clearly got the wrong number, so i doubt they know who you are.

Someone rang a couple of weeks ago.

He asked: "Is <some name> there?"

I asked "who are you looking for?"

his answer was: "<that name again>, my brother"

I said: "He's not here" (while thinking what the hell?!?!?)

and the guy just hung up
