Geo V Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 I know its hard work watching England at the moment and that make us panic a touch when we play sides but i have a feeling we will continue to get better and peak at the right time. If you look at sides like NZ and the Aussies they are flying at the moment but there are still 4 or 5 games to go before the semis kick in. We seem to be doing certain things better and improving slightly so maybe we`ll peak at the right time?! BTW, I would take a gamble and push Bopara upto open with Joyce and slip Bell down the order who plays spin well and isnt one to either score hundreds but one to rotate the strike and let the bigger hitters loose. I`d change it to this... JOYCE BOPARA (pinch hitter, he seems to striker the ball well) PIETERSEN (now needs to be promoted to no3 as he is our best player) VAUGHAN (Too much pressure on him as skipper to open) COLLINGWOOD BELL (One last chance before maybe re-introducing Strauss) FLINTOFF NIXON (he has surprised me and deserves his place, I thought he was pants) PLUNKETT ANDERSON PANESAAR
Brainy Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Can anyone explain to me why it says England have played two super eight games?
lcfc_jme Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Can anyone explain to me why it says England have played two super eight games? So this whole below-par World Cup thing is over for us quicker than it would be if we'd only played one?
Jay Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Can anyone explain to me why it says England have played two super eight games? how the super 8's work The match from the winners of the previous group over the 2nd place team is carried forward to the Super 8's and they start with 2points. It's one of those crazy cricket only things that doesn't make sense in any other sport
