00rawat Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 38-2,Does anyone get the feeling England might just lose to Ireland?
Matt Posted 30 March 2007 Author Posted 30 March 2007 Embaressing start but looking slightly healthier at 73-2 now.
00rawat Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 What do you think England will get? Because with the start England have had I think they will get 200.
Simi Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 152-4 Freddie and Collingwood at the crease. Not looking to good at the moment.
00rawat Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 England should be beating a team like Ireland. I know Ireland have done good in the world cup, but if England are to win it the world cup they need to improve alot.
Simi Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Latest update: England: 172-4 (40.0 overs) Freddie needs to start batting more aggresively.
00rawat Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Freddie needs to start batting more aggresively. Bring out Nixon I sure he can also do some big hitting as well.
lildave3 Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 No problems, we'll win. Be about the only game we do win though
00rawat Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Just lost another wicket but we have about 6 overs to push the score to at least 250
lcfc_jme Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 139/5 with only 14 overs left chasing 266. Doubt they'll do it.
Flynny Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Irish still just about in with a chance. Need 67 from 5 overs, with another wicket just fallen. We got 65 from our last 5. It IS Ireland, but still just about in there. Another wicket and they're probably sunk, but Anderson and Mahmood are looking shite.
Flynny Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Successive fours off Collingwood. Uh oh. Edit: Oh right, the wicket's probably finished it off.
lcfc_jme Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 I think we're about there now. I think we are indeed there. And we have won our first Super Eights match. Not convincing, but at this stage, a win is a win, and it only serves to build up confidence and momentum, as well as putting the points on the board.

Scraping past the little teams when we should be thrashing them. So frustrating. Credit to Ireland, though, they've done themselves proud.
