Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Kisnorbo's only scored 4 less than Hume AND done a great job in defence. Minus either of their goalscoring contributions and we'd probably be in the relegation zone, but Kisnorbo is consistantly good and often great in defence on top of that. He's been good but not great. We concede far too many goals for him to be considered a top-class defender in my opinion. He's got decent players around him. Henderson is a good shot stopper, Maybury is a solid full-back, McAuley is a rock, Johansson is a quality defender and McCarthy is an alright player at this level. Hume has no-one.

Don't agree there, really, but I do see your point.
Joe. Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 McAuley. Kelly's only worthwile signing and has done brilliantly all season virtually.
Tommeh Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Fryatt just for his 68th minute contribution yesterday, also for being superb at Fulham and Colchester. However, on a more serious note I'd say Hume / McAuley I can't decide between them. Humes effort and passion has been great and McAuley's relatively low expectations at the start have meant he's excelled this season. when I look back on the games where Fryatt's played really well and looked 100% fit it does make me believe that he's what we've missed all season. And when hes bang on his game, fit and raring to go I really do think that at times he's unplayeable at this level.

I wasn't being serious, just trying to explain his potential, what he can bring to the team and how I feel we've missed him.
