timmis-lcfc Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 The season is almost over. so who in your mind is leicesters player of the season? and your reason why. i would pick Ian hume as he has got a few goals this season but his work rate every match is better than any other player on that pitch.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 The running total in the Player of the Month stakes will tell us.
00rawat Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 MacAuley probaley sneaks past Kisnorbo and Hume for me.
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 The running total in the Player of the Month stakes will tell us. ... that it's McAuley
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 There is no point - it's just a thread similar to all others like Favourite Player/We've been linked with a World Cup Star/Hughes is shit.
Thracian Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I don't think McAuley's played nearly enough games to be player of the season - 28 to Hume and Kisnorbo's 38 each. Kisnorbo's seven goals give him a big, big shout for me because they were unexpected and were so vital considering our lack of an effective second striker for much of the time. Persnally I can't split the two. Both players have made big contributions, both have been virtually ever present and both have given 100% home and away whatever the crcumstances. I'd have them joint winners.
JoeyB Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Its got to be Josh Low or Andy Johnson HUUUUUUUUUME FTW
davieG Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 This is the current player of the month state of play, after the next one April/May(1 game). I'll problably put the top 3/4 into a play off poll/vote for the Player of the Season Running Totals McAuley = 11 points - 3 outright wins Hume = 9 points - 3 outright wins Kisnorbo = 8.5 points - 1 outright win Porter = 5 points Logan = 4 points - 1 outright win Kenton = 4 points Henderson = 2 points Stearman = 1 point Fryatt = 1 point Williams = 1 point Low = 1 point Horsfield = 0.5 point
davieG Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Its got to be Josh Low or Andy JohnsonHUUUUUUUUUME FTW Low did get 1 point in the voting
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Low got that point when, you know, he actually did well.
newms Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Kisnorbo is only lower than McAuley in the Player of the month stakes because it has become expected that he will play well. McAuley surprised us coming from league 2 and proving he was better than Paddy Mac. Kisnorbo has been the best defender overall this season. Hume has had a good season but I dont think he has equalled the form he was displaying after Kelly took over last season. Player of the Year: Kisnorbo Young Player of the Year: Logan
Flynny Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Kisnorbo. Consistantly a rock. 1 bad game all season, I think.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Low did get 1 point in the voting I'd have managed one point if I had come in to replace Maybury on the RW when Low did. Maybe even two.
davieG Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 This should have been a poll.....but Kisnorbo anyway. We have one going, besides the season's not over yet.
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 We have one going, besides the season's not over yet. Yes - because Andy Johnson can still make an impact and save his Leicester career.
davieG Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Yes - because Andy Johnson can still make an impact and save his Leicester career. It's funny old game
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Hume easily. We wouldn't have got relegated had McAuley and McCarthy played at centre-back all season but our attacking play without Hume this season would have been ridiculous. Remember the Sunderland home game that Fryatt and O'Grady started?

We wouldn't have got relegated had McAuley and McCarthy played at centre-back all season but our attacking play without Hume this season would have been ridiculous. Remember the Sunderland home game that Fryatt and O'Grady started? Kisnorbo's only scored 4 less than Hume AND done a great job in defence. Minus either of their goalscoring contributions and we'd probably be in the relegation zone, but Kisnorbo is consistantly good and often great in defence on top of that.
