Anyone got a Walkman NW-A1000 6GB

I'm not sure if it's the usb cable that's faulty or whether I'm doing anything wrong.

I rip a CD to my laptop but I am unable to transfer it to the walkman.

The transfer icon doesn't seem to come on and I'm not sure whether it's because the usb cable is faulty or because I've done something wrong.

Have you installed the software for it onto your laptop?

Knowing Sony (although not this model) I'll wager it'll only transfer music across using its own software set.

usb drivers and software should always be installed before the device is connected as it can sometimes cause problems later... if your still having connection problems send me a priv message and i can offer some help + advice
