Maybury and De Vries

Can anybody tell me how are Maybury and De Vries doing in LCFC?

Alan was in fantastic form while in Hearts but big Mark had a lot of injuries since his first days in Tynecastle.

What do you think about this couple???

Levein is a great manager and I´m sure he can get fantastic bargains for LCFC

He did it in Hearts with players like Andy Webster or Paul Hartley, so I think we are in good hands !!!

Maybury looks quality, going forward and defensively. What I would call a proper full back. De Vries has looked very dangerous when he's come on as sub. Looking forward to seeing him start a match and see if he can tear some teams apart, both look class players to be fair.

Haven't realy rated Maybury defensively, but he probably just needs settling in- hes excellent going forwards though and certainly better than Chris Makin. De Vries is an excellent signing. Hes come on as a sub a few times and looked really dangerous, he creates things for himself and that is what I like to see a striker. So, overall, not too bad at all I would say.

Maybury was Man of the Match against Reading in my eyes, he's looking the business at right back. It's nice to be able to have a full back who's good defending and going forward. It's something we've lacked over the last few years.

De Vries has looked very useful when he's come on as a sub. He's got a great first touch and uses his strength very well. He's not fully fit yet, but I can imagine he'll give any defence a problem in this league when he's 100%.

Big MDV is quality, his first touch looks excellent. :)

Alan has fitted in well and i feel confident with him playing there. :)

Maybury - Looks very sharp up and down the wings , Good defensively & attacking !

De Vries - Not too saw much of him just yet , but what sort periods we have , he looks a good player

I'm happy with these two players so far :)

Maybury has been a rock so far. He looks so much more comfortable on the ball and is very good going forward.

MDV hasn't played as many minutes as I would have liked, but he has been sharp when he plays and looks to have a great touch on him. He is certainly going to give more problems to the opposition defenders when he's 100% fit than either Dublin, Scowy et al.

maybury will do a job no doubt.

de vries not fully fit is no surprise.he seldom was at tynie and i can see you complaining about this in the future. excuces will be many ie groin strain, hamstring pull were quite popular when he was here.

in saying that the guy was a great finisher but sometimes you need somebody involved for the 90mins and thats not him. most jambos are really gutted at losing maybury but i dont think many are to sad about de vries going.

what are everyones thoughts now

Maybury - has never really shined for me yet, seems to be uncomfortable when played at left back. Would much prefer to see him on the right.

De Vries - I am not going to completely judge him until the end of the season but so far, his first touch is good but he rarely looks like scoring, and is very reluctant to jump for headers when he really could win a lot more than he does.
