Robson, 50, takes over from Neil Warnock in the Bramall Lane hotseat only nine days after the Blades were relegated from the Premiership. "I'm delighted to take the position," he said. "We've got a good squad and if we can fine tune it a bit, we can get back to the Premiership." Mort Posted 22 May 2007 Posted 22 May 2007 Daft apointment if you ask me they want to get back up and build on what they already have so they apoint a three times failed manager, with a win rate of 23% in his last job... good move! :laugh: The likes of Coleman, Davies or Grayson would all recomend themselves so far ahead of Robson... but perhaps they were missing the Championship and fancy a prolonged stay.

Let us not laugh, it could all to easily have been us. :pinch: Let's be thankful for Sheffield United removing from the production line a truly shocking manager. Has anyone noticed how his record as a manager has got worse as time goes by? With some luck, he'll manage like a 19% win ratio at Sheffield.

NO----- "There was no consenus about the perfect manager for the Blades." That is true. However, can you name a worse appointment? I seriously cannot think of one. I mean Peter Reid is awful but is surely better. Dave Basset has won countless promotions. Bryan Robson has ruined countless football establishments. ----- I think he will be a disaster for you, and that Warnock did a brilliant job for you and you will miss him. Still, 6 points for PNE next season! ----- Robson : the lights are on but theres no one in. ----- As a Arsenal I have to say unlucky. relegated with three clubs. ----- Robson is a prat. Agreed, Robson will do alright there, I would be surprised if he doesn't lead them to the play-offs at least.
