He's a class player on the sand and very loyal. He had the opportunity to play for any of the top sides down here but chose to stay with my team, Wight Knuckle Ryde. It's a great trip for the lad too. The Norwegians are hosting a couple of music festivals in a couple of weeks and are setting up a beach soccer pitch at both to entertain the festival-goers. Apart from getting an England cap, the next best bit for my mate is that all of the England team, as well as staying in a 5* hotel for a week, will get free backstage VIP passes for both festivals. The bands playing include The Who, Killers, Beastie Boys and Amy Winehouse. I was asked to go as the England team delegate but I can't go due to work and family commitments - bummer! Apart from that, I'm well chuffed for the lad!

I hope he does really well and has the sort of experience he'll never forget.
