ousefox Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 I think we should have at least had a go at signing Karl Hawley seen as though he was on a free transfer!
marko Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 He was extremely average in league 1, would have just been another squad player.
Mad Dog's Foxes Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 How do you know we didn't try to sign him?? He probably would have looked at league positions over the past few seasons and chose PNE on that basis. Just because players sign for other clubs doesn't mean we didn't try to sign them. besides i'm not overly convinced that his average goal scoring record means he would improve our strike force anyway.

Worst screename ever, you probably don't care, you probably just couldn't be arsed to enlighten us with a name which demonstrated you had put some thought into it, I have to admit...I'm dissapointed in you aew210694, now go to your room...and no cuppa soup!!!
Blue Bob Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Not too worried, I think there are better players out there, if we are to challenge for the Premiership I am not so sure he has the class to help us achieve that.

Exactly, who knows who we've tried to sign or who we're trying to sign? For all we know, Allen may have looked at Hawley and said "no thanks"
davieG Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Get over it, there's plenty of equivalent quality players to be had.
sotonfox Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Get over it, there's plenty of "equivalent" quality players to be had. Don't you mean "better"!!!
lookwhaticando Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 I don't approve of this topic in Transfer Talk. It's old news (he joined someone else already) and is no longer related to Leicester City. Off to Gen Sport with you.
davieG Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 Don't you mean "better"!!! No because i was replying to aew210694 who seemed to be upset that we'd missed this level of quality.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 I think we should have at least had a go at signing Karl Hawley seen as though he was on a free transfer! You seem to know fook all!! Hawley is a League One player.
