dandannieldanok Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 Bit random but hey Obviously we are talking about other people's cars not you own which you would obviously check on.
lookwhaticando Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 Depends. If there's an alarm that goes off all the time, you tend to shout abuse at the alarm from behind the safety of your house's walls. If a car alarm goes off, and it's the first time you've heard one in a while, you tend to check. Around here, car alarms don't go off all that often, so when one does, you can't help but take a peek - just in case.

Simi Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 There is a car near my house that's alarm goes of everytime someone brushes past it. Very annoying.
Wils Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 I dont think my alarm works. So i wont notice if you steal it.
Thracian Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 Car alarms? Who needs em?. My car was stolen once but was found in no time, abandoned just a few miles down the road with its doors still open and a notice on the steering wheel which read: "If you can drive this thing you're welcome to have it back. Hope you get home safely!"
act smiley Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 The army advertises for recruits in the middle of town using one of these: The other day I was walking out of a shop when they had packed up and were driving back out along the road, it was so loud it set off about 10 car alarms in a wave as it went by. Also, the only person who didn't give it loads of space was a bimbo in a 4x4, who didn't seem to understand that a 4x4 isn't the biggest thing on the road if a tank is driving towards you. But yeah, I'd poke my head out the window to half-arsedly check if one went off that wasn't always going off.
