Different style? The producers just need to adjust a bit of their 08/15-sound mixer stuff to make it "look" different.

It is not. Just another rip-off from the American hip- hop industry. Is anybody still talking about 50 Cent? Or Nelly?

Awww... if only there were more Old School beats on the radio. Kids nowadays don't remember fellas like Slick Rick, Doug E Fresh, De La Soul, Grandmaster Flash, Naughty By Nature, Snow, Ice Cube, Ice-T, the Zulu Nation, A Tribe Called Quest, LL Cool J (in his earlier years), Afrika Bambaataa, NWA, Shabba, The Rocksteady Crew, Big Daddy Kane or Donald D.... :ermm:

For all those interested, you might give it a try and watch "Beat Street". Not equipped with the best storyline, but with an interesting insight in N.Y.'s subculture in the early 80ies.

I agree there. There is nothing original (or talented) about The Game. But you also Dr. Dre more credit for The Game's success--he's succeeded in creating another hip hop sensation, even though he's not exactly treading new water with his production techniques. But popular hip hop has been awful lately.

There are plenty of excellent Old Skool hip hop acts, but saying this is like criticizing kids for listening to Linkin Park and not takin' it back by listening to Nirvana.

...but Snow??? :o What's Snow doing on that list?

Is it not a coincidence that the soul of hip hop was in New York during its golden age?

Sorry... The "Infama" is still a classic to me... Of course, you can't compare a white Toronto high-speed rapper with the rest of the gang... :D

Yeah, yeah, he's Canadian, I know. lol
