Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 I'm looking to make my MP3 Files smaller so I can fit more on mp iPod. Most of my torrents from bitcomet are usually 192kbps if not higher, and I'd ideally like to reduuce them to 128kbps...any ideas on how I can reduce the bit rate????? I seem to remember years ago using Audio Catalyst......... don't have a clue now though!!

The bit rate is set to 128 I checked before..... right, i'm, not sure, but my settings are (in advanced): present: none sampling frequency: 44 100 hz channel mode: stereo current bitrate: 128 (nearer 'good') encoder quality: better filtering highbypass filtering freq (in hz) 30 (this is not ticked) low bypass filtering (in hz) 15160 (not ticked either) VBR coding method: none VBR quality: 7 targed bitrate for ABR 128 expert only short blocks and bit reservoir are ticked ATH control: default de-emphasis: default make sure 'preserve tags' isn't ticked and that you're converting to mp3 file(.mp3) hope this helps.....
