Rincewind Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I picked up a gig list for Nottingham Arena toda/yesterday and notice Meat Loaf is appearing there on November 8th. Now I've checked my diary and worked out that it falls on one of my days off (Thursday) I would love to see the showe but am a little ignorant about train times or whether there may be a coach to there from Leicester. I may make enquiries over the next week or so about ticket availability. I believe I can get them at HMV or Virgin. One of the reasons I've posted here is I was wondering if anyone else on here were thinking of going who has transport. I will pay towards petrol cost of course. The tickets are £39-£45. There are one or two other acts I would like to see but they fall on the wrong days The web site is www.nottingham-arena.com Acts appearing in order but no dates unless requested. James Last Incubus Disney on ice Damien Rice WWE Smackdown Arcade fire The White Stripes Meat Loaf Alice Cooper Support Motorhead Joan Jett and Black#hearts*** Stereophonics Heaven and Hell Bill Bailey Maroon 5 Kaiser Cheifs Babyshambles Crowded House Michail Buble Kings of Leon Rihanna Status Quo **** UB40 *** War Of the Worlds *** Cbeebies Live The UK Wedding Exibition I've not heard of all of them. The ones with the *** look good as well but fall on the wrong days. Oh I forgot another act thats on but not until next May. Book now to avoid disappointment. DALAI LAMA.
purpleronnie Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Probably shouldn't admit liking meatloaf. Wouldn't mind seeing arcade fire, babyshambles, kings of leon, white stripes...the rest are rubbish, although I have to admit I do have a crowded house cd in my collection.
Rincewind Posted 19 September 2007 Author Posted 19 September 2007 I think this shows our age gap. The ones you mention I don't know a lot about. No Quo fan then? They may be old but they can still rock.
Rincewind Posted 19 September 2007 Author Posted 19 September 2007 I only live around the corner from the train station. Thing is the times and the service changes around this time of year so enquiring now wiil get a response of 'Don't know, aint got the new timetables in, try next January.' from the station ticket office staff.
