Darkzzz_ Posted 3 November 2007 Posted 3 November 2007 Right guys, i am having issue's connecting wireless... to the PS3 network. I have followed a lot of guides, even been on the phone to them but couldnt understand a word they said... I can pick up my router no problem, signal strength 100%.... then when i test connection it says the attempt to obtain the IP adress timed out. I am getting really hacked off with it now.... any help would be greatly appreciated.... I cant even connect through direct ethernet as it wont reach to the next room!!!

But hey i cant talk, i am struggling to get online on my ps3 hence thats why im askng for experts who have done this....

So bargain basement that CEX are selling second hand ones... without WiiSports for £200 odd quid!!! Yup, whereas I had my Wii (wirelessy) online from day one! (And I didn't have to buy anything extra to do it!!)

I havent had to buy anything extra either.... i have now found out its a router problem not a PS3 problem.... i would still be interested to hear peoples views...

It has novelty value. But after half an hour, I wanted my xbox. Its just a better machine. Admit it....

It wouldnt let me connect at first until I went onto my PC and changed the settings on Norton Antivirus to allow the PS3 console to access the wireless network. After that I had no problems!
Darkzzz_ Posted 4 November 2007 Author Posted 4 November 2007 I have now been told that i have to enter the PS3 Mac address on to my router... to allow it to connect... when i log into my router it wont allow me to do this...right pain in the ass...
