Ultra Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 For a team hovering outside the top six, the sky blues have taken a fair few hammerings this season. Although they weren't helped tonight by Mifsud's kamikaze act in the first ten minutes, which saw him pick up a deserved red card. They somehow kept it to 0-0 at half-time, but in the second half the baggies made their superior quality tell. And once again the Coventry support was woeful - 18000 for a local derby, Sky or no Sky, is a truly abysmal showing.
Tommeh Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 If only we were successful ourselves then we could really lay into teams like Derby for getting trounced 5-0 every week in the prem, Forest for being in the lower mist of English football, likewise leeds, and coventry for getting shocking crowds, serious debt and picking up a few pastings along the way. BUT we're not so me thinks we should just leave it.
Ultra Posted 12 November 2007 Author Posted 12 November 2007 But there are still those who think that what Dowie's doing at Cov is the way forward for us. They have to be persuaded of the error of their ways. Maybe tonight's events will be a start.
Bert Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 What did Mifsuud do Ultra? Tommeh you're right mate, but everyone enjoys seeing their local "rivals" on the end of a good old pasting.

I know I still take great pleasure out of seeing the sheep-hammers goals from saturday Edit: whats with these new emotions? I feel like Julian fcking Clarey
Fat Ron Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 Didnt want him here in the first place personally.... This result just strengthens my thoughts.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 They're still only just off the playoffs even with all the turmoil at the club and a smaller budget than us in the summer. WBA are a quality side and would take pretty much anyone apart if the opposition had to play for 80 minutes with ten men.
The Reverend Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 The things what you have to look at are the players hes brought in.Has there been many, dont think so. So hes effectively playing the same team that WE hammered last season and has got them up there, so he is clearly a genius.
Mack Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 They a broke, there is uncertainty all around the club. Dowie has not had cash to spend yet he is still doing a half decent job, all be it with the odd dodgy result. Given the circumstances I would say he is doing very well.
