But it depends what time of year you are going, as you can chose some other city's... much beautifull then ' Cluj' like brasov, sibiu which is the european cultural capital, or the mountain resorts such as preadeal, sinaia, poiana brasov etc. All of them can be reached by train from Cluj as they are very close. P.S- as a recomendation try dracula's castle in Bran where you can stay in something called " agroturism" which represents staying in peoples houses and knowing there traditions and culture.

Wanted a mix of cultutre and nightlife, we'll probably visit surrounding places anyway
