And, not content with that, Levein is still searching for more players.

His midweek trip to the Continent has not yet resulted in any moves.

But he said: "The two players I did see were very good.

"But whether we will be able to get them is a different matter - and not just because money is tight.

"They will both be targets for other clubs and, when they see the league tables and see our position, they might decide to look elsewhere.

"At least I have been first in by showing interest and we will see what happens. But there is nothing imminent."
