England Manager - every man and his dog

I know the FA are apt to fook this and everything else up but is it really necessary to consult so many people many of whom have nothing what so ever to do with England - names mentioned so far include Platini, Beckenbauer, Wenger and Alec Ferguson.

Fair enough ask some of the veterans of English Football like Charlton, Bobby Robson even Graham Taylor and Hoddle but I see they've even roped in current England players like Gerrard sure to get an unbiased view from players..

If they're not up to doing a decent interview they should move aside and let someone in who can, obvioulsy not Mandaric ;) Oh and while we're on the subject I see the publicity seeking local MP Keith Vaz has got in on the act and has tabled a parliamentary motion in favour of Mourinho - WTF.

Alex... not Alec!

Apart from that, I think its good that they are talking to all those in the footballing world to get the BEST choice... quite clearly McClaren wasn't even close!

I'm sure they'll end up with a clear cut choice after asking 20+ people all with different agendas and prejudices and of course plenty of people to blame if they get it wrong.
