davieG Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 From Sky Wigan are lining up a £2million move for Plymouth winger Peter Halmosi, according to reports in Hungary. The former Debrecen playerr has impressed for Argyle this season and is understood to have caught the eye of Steve Bruce and his scouting team. Wolves are also reported to be interested, but Halmosi admits he would be keen to join a Premier League club in the January transfer window. "Wigan are a big-name club, it would be a great opportunity for me to challenge myself," Halmosi told Nemzeti Sport. "The team is not in a very good position in the Premier League at the moment but it is not a problem for me because I think a couple of won games and the team will be in a better position. "But of course I am a player of Plymouth where I am appreciated and I like to play here as well." Halmosi is contracted to Plymouth until 2010 and the Championship club are likely to fight hard to keep him. Wigan - oh how times have changed or is it just perceptions?
