foxilescom Posted 10 March 2005 Author Posted 10 March 2005 Hi Anybody remember the Conga at Hereford in the 4th round of 1982 ? Good old Larry May
Jonbluefox9 Posted 10 March 2005 Posted 10 March 2005 Welcome Keith. Had a look at the review of your first game at Filbert Way and it was refreshing to see a supporter who wrote so passionately about going to a game. I've only just started going regularly to games for about 4 years so I know what it feels like to only go occasionally and it does make each game feel much more special. I have quite a few relations in the Fulford area. Don't know whether you live around there?
Nationwider Posted 10 March 2005 Posted 10 March 2005 Hello from me! I used to live really near Fulford....used to go to the Bay Horse quite a lot. Never bumped into a City fan once during my time in York! Typical. Good to here about other Foxiles in the North East - and I totally agree with your sentiments regarding not getting to games as much as you'd like. I'm in the same boat too - but it doesn't make us any less true fans.
foxilescom Posted 10 March 2005 Author Posted 10 March 2005 Hi I was emailing about a year ago with somebody who worked at the X-Ray dept at York District Hospital, she said she was one of 3 LCFC fans there !
foxesfan69 Posted 10 March 2005 Posted 10 March 2005 Just had a look at the website. Not bad, keep posting mate
Nationwider Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 HiI was emailing about a year ago with somebody who worked at the X-Ray dept at York District Hospital, she said she was one of 3 LCFC fans there ! 77077[/snapback] I actually know YDH (too) well, having spent more time in there than I'd care to remember! Must have missed them all.... Used to do the shopping at Tesco's in my City shirt just in case any other Foxiles were cruising the aisles! (in a non-gay sense, that is).
Jonbluefox9 Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 My Grandma was born in York so I have a lot of relations in the area. Fulford, from what I remember, is about a 5 minute walk away from York City centre where the landmarks are (Walls, dungeons etc). I like the area. Would like to go back there more often. Remember going to places around there like Filey Brig, Knaresborough with the white horse and a place with a waterfall that turned things to stone. It's all coming back to me now. My nan's nephew lived down the road from the University and golf course and regularly went to a pub so you might've met him Nationwider.
