Smudge Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Perhaps he couldn't do it immediately but he'd have the players behind him and pulling in one direction by Monday morning. There'd be no-one creeping off to the chairman with transfer requests nor anyone questioning the way he chose to run the club. There's only one way with Fergie. You're either with him, win or lose, good or bad, or you're against him and on your way out. But what you also get, if you are with Fergie and you respect his way of doing things, is 100% loyalty in public. It's not always easy to be that single minded. To my mind it's the sign of a good psychologist and of a man who knows he's only going to be good with the trust and backing of the players. And such unbending togetherness is the key to success. If one thing has been missing most if not all of this season at Leicester it is genuine togetherness. I don't mean silly huddles in the middle of the pitch before matches either. I mean the fully established and completely impregnable sense of unity which stands strong and has been seen to stand strong in any circumstances. Precisely how long it's been missing I don't know. But the sooner we get it back the better. This post by Thracian seems to coincide with a feeling I have that there is a nucleus of "senior" players who won't be messed with and hence we can't fix anything until these guys are gone.

Everyone knows who the 2 are but they just can't bring themselves to say it. The pair of them are useless anyroad despite their 'star' status amongst the ****** in the South Stand.

Kisnorbo is probably one of the "untouchables", as has already been stated. And from the talk given by our chairman a few months back, we can also assume that Fryatt is the other. If they are undermining Holloway in the way it was alleged they undermined Allen, they both need to be shown the door VERY soon. The manager deserves the chance to build his own team, without interference from the chairman.

Mort Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 If there are some players unsettling the squad as a whole then they have to go... it's that simple, it's not as though we have any stand-out squad members who we couldnt do with out.
Ultra Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 I also wonder if it'll take and Act of Parliament to get Stearman out? Well think on this - how many league games did he play while Allen was here? Either the chairman really rates him, or (slightly more likely) he sees him as a saleable asset. Any bid of over £500k should be eagerly accepted.
