Uncle Albert Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 I went to watch Ricky Tomlinson last night, doing his stand up comedy. Bloody brilliant. Funny knowing that when he was inside he spent time at Leicester Prison.

dandannieldanok Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 Rich Hall was excellent at the Phoenix on saturday.
Rincewind Posted 11 February 2008 Posted 11 February 2008 thinking of going to the Basement Bar Wed or Thurs. Some political incorrect comedian on I think. Called something like outragious Dave. Also an improvision act on after. Not sure how they work it with them being at the same venue on the same night and priced seperate. Not sure if I need to book. I have a video of Ricky Tomlinson Laughter My Arse. He talks about how he got started and the time spent in prison. He went to see the bloke who picked him out as somebody who was using violence. Went to shake his hand in a let bygones be bygones manner and the bloke refused. He started as a banjo player in a skiffle type group. He said when he was young the birds were attracted to blokes that could play a musical instrument and he found the banjo the easiest to play.
