Mark Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 James Scowcroft knows that if he helps Ipswich into the Premiership he will cement his footballing future. The 29-year-old is on loan at Portman Road from Leicester until the end of the season and has made it known he would like to be with Ipswich in 2005/06. The former England Under-21 international, who joined Town from school before being sold to Leicester in the summer of 2001, said: "I have not got a clue what the future is. I just have to focus on the next few weeks coming and take it from there. "The next two months are massively important. But not only for me, it is a big stage in players' careers for everyone at the club." Scowcroft, who was involved in Ipswich reserves' 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday, has failed to score in six first-team matches since he returned to Suffolk. His contract with Leicester is up in the summer and he added: "We are now entering the final seven games and Sunderland, Wigan and us have everything to play for. No-one has done anything to guarantee anything. "I'm sure supporters up and down the land are getting twitchy about their team, that is what supporting a team is all about. But the medals are given out in May, not March."
Anish Posted 22 March 2005 Posted 22 March 2005 Scowy in the reserves! What a fool. It's no coincidence that since he joined Ipswich they have fallen from being top of the table to now being 3rd! Keep him Ipswich!
