Kent Fox Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Here is the news. In 2004, a Mr. K Fox wrote some predictions on the inside of a packet of Drum tobacco. This priceless packet was originally found by a local Medway refuse collector in 2005, who initially thought it was about the Gills. Having realised it was not, he threw it away again. It was later discovered by ex-manager Martin Allen, who since "leaving" Leicester has become a vagrant in the Medway area. In an attempt to make some money to save his family any further nights sleeping rough, Mr Allen sold the packet of Drum through Sothebys. They had verified the predictions as "uncannily close to the truth". The buyer is unknown, but is widely believed to be Paul Scally who paid around £3M for the empty packet. He felt that it represented good value compared to anything else he'd seen in Gillingham this season. It is believed Mr Allen may now succeed somewhere. And this is what was written: 1. The club will be taken overeth by some lunatic foreigner who it is said, will be the saviour of this club. 2. The saviour will spendeth lots of his own money buying players we need in our promotion pushing campaign. 3. Many will be sacrificed, including the one known as Mad Dog. 4. Many will hail the new Messiah and he shall be known as Mandy. 4a. Much cash will be spent on the boy wonder known as Dudley. 4b. He will proveth to be crap. 5. And any good news will be short lived as we faileth in our attempts. 6. We will not be in for a shout of a trophy. 7. We will not gaineth entrance to the promised land via the play-offs. 8. We will not getteth to the promised land at all. 9. The underworld of League 2 will threaten our very existence. 10. And then, there were 8. 11. And the man called Ollie will be dismissed from the club and sent to Coventry in fair exchange for Chris Coleman. 12. And yet another totally pointless thread is started.. Amen. I can't believe you just read that bol lox
