When I saw that entire group queuing up with the fans for a half-time drink I thought how lucky our club was to have such a belting group of young players.

And what a crying shame it would be if they were to split up when they could form the basis of such a good side. One could still hope Shush! might be persuaded to return in certain circumstances but with Porter and Dodds likely possibles as well and people like McKay, Chambers and Sappzilla coming on you really do have a base to start from.

Especially if people like Alnwick, Bell, Hammond and Hendrie could be persuaded to stick around and if Worley could be turned into a footballer.

That's the way it is with Holloway, I'm afraid. I don't know why we feel the need to reach out and loan Premier League clubs youngsters when, as you'd know more than anyone, our academy is technically one of the best, if not the best, in the country. We seem to have a never ending conveyor belt of talent coming through the ranks, talent that has a true connection with Leicester City, and will quite clearly try their hardest, but instead of getting an opportunity on merit they are shuntted aside for some half-arsed loan signing that could show flashes of magic, or could a complete and utter disaster. In the long term it won't contribute to our youngsters, if they continue to be disallowed chances in the first team when things are clearly in a dire state. Louis Dodds would be the perfect example, and, to a certain extent, Eric Odhiambo, who has had limited chances at Dundee United.

I haven't seen Worley so I can't comment on him, but from what I've heard, from both you and other posters, he needs quite a fair bit of developing.
