Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 It's my grandad's birthday today. He would have been 92 if he was still alive. In 1939 when war broke out, he was 23 - the same age I am now - and spent the next six years in the Army, driving trucks across the Sudan and seeing friends die alongside him. By contrast I've just got to put up with a few wankers banging on about how we're not a big club anymore for a few months. I've spent most of this season putting huge amounts of emphasis on each game and each result has consumed me completely until the next kickoff. Now it's happened, it's really not everything. It's a bank holiday, the sun is out, there are more important things in life.
DB11 Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 there are more important things in life. When I was thinking like that people were having a go at me
