Never really thought they were my sort of things before now. But I've been getting into Velvet Revolver again as of late and I really like Scot Wieland's voice. Remarkably I know very little about the STPs but I'm sure I've seen the name passed around on here a bit.

So is anyone in a position to recommend somewhere good to start? Best era? Classic, not-to-be-missed songs?

One of my fave bands ever, but never really cracked the market over here in a big way.

Core (their debut) or Purple (second album) are my faves, but basically all their albums are quality

EDIT: oh and Interstate Love Song from Purple is still my favourite track ever, and I'm sure there'll be lots of tracks off the first two albums you'll recognise like Meatplow, Vasoline, Big Empty, Plush, Sex Type Thing, Sin and Creep

And I read somewhere recently that they may be re-forming so we may get to hear some brand new stuff soon
