Chairman of the Bored Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Anyone go? First time I've seen a gig at the Millenium Stadium (been for footy previously). Wasn't too sure the ground is greatly suited, quite a bit of reverb from where I was sitting. Bruce in good form though. A run through his past catalogue (Jungleland, Atlantic City, Rosalita, Blinded by the Light, Because the Night, Badlands, Born to Run etc) + most of "Magic". Cardiff was a hell hole at 11.30pm mind. What a frigging mess.
purpleronnie Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Went to see him last year at the o2, amazing stuff, he did Racing In The Streets which is possibly my fave song, and he didnt change it just him and the piano, twas ace. Although I wish I hadnt bought a standing ticket as it was a strain to see him clearly, I was pretty near the front sdespite not going very early to start queing, soon realised I should have worn shoes with a heal on , but I had a clear shot of bruce pretty much throughout, I guess when you buy a standing ticket to a big venue you are not expecting to have a perfectt view, but I was afraid that those in the seats would sit which I didnt want to, but everyone stood. nils lofgren did a mind blowing guitar solo during because the night. And they ended with Santa Claus is coming to town which was a perfect ending.
