Men with sexist views 'earn more'

Men who grow up thinking women should stay at home may be labelled "old-fashioned" - but could end up well ahead in the salary stakes.

A US study, published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, suggests that they will consistently out-earn more "modern-thinking" men.

On average, this meant an extra $8,500 (£4,722) a year.

One UK psychologist said men inclined to wield power in their relationships might also do this at work.

Right wing daily newspaper: Women should be kept in cages.

In a recent radio interview, the Chief Editor of a Daily right wing newspaper stunned the DJ by claiming that women should be kept in cages. Unfortunately due to legal reasons the paper and the editor cannot be named.

When asked about his views on modern day roles within the home the Editor said "To be honest I believe that women should be kept in cages, not to be mean but to protect them. We all know that women have smaller brains and cannot fully cope with modern society. I wouldn't keep them in cages all day - they could come out for a few hours to do the cleaning, washing and cooking certainly"

Despite public outrage at his comments from normal people, groups such as the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) and the Conservatives fully support the comments.

Defending his support for the editors comments David Cameron the leader of the Conservative party said, "Look, were not trying to be sexist or offensive, we simply want to protect women from the perils of today's society. For example, from April last year to April this year 48,000 women suffered severe internal bleeding brought on through stress in attempting to pay household bills, and just this month alone 3,400 women have attempted suicide purely because they cannot properly operate a lawn mower. I think those figures alone show we need to protect and prevent women from attempting male jobs and activities with our society, and by keeping them in cages and letting them out to do the jobs they can manage such as cleaning and cooking I believe we can achieve this."
