JoeyB Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 My mate has had to reformat their laptop and needs to get the webcam working again, and can;t because we think the webcam driver is fooked. I have googled it, but cant find much, dont know why. Just wondering if anyone else will be able to help me a bit more? Its an Acer Aspire 5100 Orbicam driver i need. Thanks Joeyb.
the_bowman Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Is this running on Vista or XP? If it's XP then you shouldn't need any drivers, otherwise if it's vista: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5100.html
DB11 Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Use the disk that came with the laptop and install it from them. Plus the OS your mates laptop is on would be helpful. And it'd've been wiser to back up the drivers before formatting it.
JoeyB Posted 20 October 2008 Author Posted 20 October 2008 Its XP, and if they knew where the disk they got with the laptop they would of used it.
DB11 Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Its XP, and if they knew where the disk they got with the laptop they would of used it. Well you should keep all discs together and be more organised
DB11 Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Its an Acer Aspire 5100 Orbicam driver i need. More precise. L5100 or the M5100? Though to be honest, i don't see why Acer would have the drivers for a third party piece of equipment, such as a web cam. Try the manufacturers web site
