Tilley Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Leicester 24-1 YoevilFryatt 23 DJ 1 Now that was a bit of a silly scoreline wasn't it Jake. But DJ to score? Hopefully we'll be singing........ WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
YTFC Fan Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 That was their first away win of t season werent tit?We will piss on them. 7-2 Howard 7 Second away win in the league, we also beat Hereford away but I agree, beating the Bullshitters doesn't count. We also beat a full strength Charlton team away in the Carling Cup. Don't take us lightly otherwise you will get a shock. We lost at home to Nottingham Forest in the playoffs 2 years ago 2-0...then beat then 5-2 away. That said, I don't think you will and I think Leicester will win but we are capable of getting something.

Thracian Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 It would be nice to see 90-minutes of sustained effort and urgency from City. It concerned me that we started to sluggishly on Saturday and might well have fallen a goal down in consequence. But if Pearson can get us closing down fast and breaking with speed and conviction once we get possession then I'm quite sure we can achieve our aims. With around a third of the season gone and our new players fully bedded in our team should be showing some real unity of purpose now. The addition of Edworthy and Berner to our regular squad plus the return to fitness of Dickov, DJ and even Chambers should ensure there's competition for places which should ensure a sharper focus and level of performance all round. The crowd needs to help but I'd expect a win. Kingy's already scored three of the best goals I've seen from a City player in recent times (Saturday's effort, his classic long range thunderbolt and a sublime outside-of-the-boot effort in a friendly at Quorn) and I'd just love him to come up with another special tonight. But, deep down, I see Howard getting our opener and perhaps even Gradel getting the much needed boost of a goal, perhaps from the subs bench.
