davieG Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 City manager Nigel Pearson is hoping the Blue Army can help Leicester City move back to the top of the League One table on Tuesday night (7.45). A win over visitors Yeovil Town would put the Foxes a point clear of current leaders S****horpe United after 15 matches. Pearson said: "We all know that three points will take us back to the top of the League One table and we should certainly not be afraid of talking about just that. "We know that we are in for a tough test over the 90 minutes but at the same time, this re-arranged game presents us with a chance to move up the table and I expect us to do everything in our power to take that opportunity. "Of course, we want to turn in a decent display for the fans, but the result is the most important issue. "So please help generate another good atmosphere on the night and get right behind the players." Unfortunately, defender Patrick Kisnorbo will miss the clash after picking up an injury to his right knee in the 3-0 victory over Stevenage Borough in the FA Cup First Round on Saturday afternoon.
Lovejoy Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Doubtlessly will be another toughie with them sticking 10 men behind the ball. Many would say Yeovil should be thrashed, but a win of any sorts will do .
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Oh with out a doubt, I would imagine they will try and frustrate us, but it is down to us to grind them down and get the win. Come on City. (It will be freezing tomorrow night)
lifted*fox Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 i whole heartedly believe we can win this one. let's get behind the team again (great atmosphere is essential to this win!) and get the result we need. c'mon city!
Fox You Forest Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 3-0 Fryatt x 2 Howard - It's coming i can feel it.
Bert Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Just remember what Yeovil done in their last away game. They're no mugs, but we should win.
James. Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Wasn't that long ago that we were in the Premiership and Yeovil were in the Conference. How times change. This is a massive game for me, one of my best mates is a Yeovil fan and I've taken the piss out of him and his team for some time.
Ben Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Anyone got any idea on what the attendance is likely to be like tommorow night?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 No kisnorbo? I'm feeling a win then. Seconded!
Ric Flair Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 We need an early goal and then it will unravel. Fryatt, Dyer, Howard and King all need to have their shooting boots on. Lots of wasted chances and the fans will get bemused and Yeovil will continue to frustrate and it could be orrible. Ruthlessness is needed.
Munzie Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 We need an early goal and then it will unravel. Fryatt, Dyer, Howard and King all need to have their shooting boots on. Lots of wasted chances and the fans will get bemused and Yeovil will continue to frustrate and it could be orrible. Ruthlessness is needed. If we can maintain some of the build up play witnessed during Saturday's game, chances and goals will come. I think you can add Oakley to the 'shooting boots' list as he seemed to have the confidence to let fly with a few shots on Saturday. Plently of possession, simple passing, and good build up play should see us through. A return to the top of the league is priority number 1, but a confident, solid performance should rank highly on the wish list as well.
Simi Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Positive approach needed from the start. If we go all out early on I think they'll crumble. Early goal for us is a must I feel. Something we've not been able to get lately. Pick up where we left off on Saturday after seeing some of the moves and we should be ok.
mmarkie Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 3-0Fryatt x 2 Howard - It's coming i can feel it. Same result for me but the scorers being: Howard Oakley DJ
Raj Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Just remember what Yeovil done in their last away game. They're no mugs, but we should win. That was their first away win of t season werent tit? We will piss on them. 7-2 Howard 7
Corky Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 That was their first away win of t season werent tit?We will piss on them. 7-2 Howard 7 Were you there on Saturday Raj? I was picturing your reaction when Big Stevie got his thoroughly-deserved standing ovation
Raj Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Were you there on Saturday Raj?I was picturing your reaction when Big Stevie got his thoroughly-deserved standing ovation  He got a standing Ovation??? Did Pearson sub him???
Corky Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 He got a standing Ovation???Did Pearson sub him??? Yes, and we lost most of our attacking threat really
Joe. Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Confident that we'll win this one, it'll be a good boost for the lads after recent form if we get the win. It'd be nice to get the early goal and settle early rather than scrapping at 0-0 for a long time and allowing Yeovil to stick 10 men behind the ball for 90 minutes.
GloverFox Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Comfortable 2-0 would go down nicely ... 2-0 would go down nicely, but I wouldn't be too sure about a comfortble win! They'll make us work, watch out for their centre-back Captain - Terry Skiverton at set plays and corner crosses, he loves getting his head in there and Gary Roberts in midfield is a real threat. Paul Warne will no doubt play his usual stalwart hard working role, badgering across the park for possession. Darren Way is a small blond haired human dynamo again playing through midfield and their ex-liverpool Lee Peltier is back after groin surgery. At the back the on loan Gareth Owen is a tidy player, very solid whilst their other on-loan stiker Gifton Noel-Williams is still not fully match fit (but he is a great threat!) so comfortable .... ! ... we need to play well and take all the chance we get Worse still the game in Jan is now back 48 hours to the Monday night for Sky TV ... no doubt spoiling a few peoples intentions for a weekend in Somerset on the cider!
