Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Messi's skills are unparalleled by any footballer I've ever seen. Had the pleasure of watching him in the flesh as well, mind boggling ability. He's deceptively strong for one so small, gets kicked all over the pitch most weeks and just brushes it off and carries on. For me, he's comfortably the best player on the planet at the moment which is no small feat with Ronaldo around. Best I've ever seen? Zidane and the Brazilian Ronaldo in his pomp run the lad close but I think he's just about taking the title of best for a generation.
Darkon84 Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 The same Valdes whose showboating let Real back into the 1st leg, and ultimately helped cost Barca the cup? Well though he played last night, he couldn't point fingers at anyone. Fair point. Saying that, Casillas has hardly looked his best either. Has he lost confidence in his defenders? Who knows, but he needs to sort out his command of area and decision making with regards to crossing.
accessory Posted 30 August 2012 Posted 30 August 2012 Casillas has clobbered a few of his own defenders already this season. The communication between them is nowhere near what it should be, considering the years Ramos, Pepe etc have been there.
