Chimp Posted 24 April 2005 Share Posted 24 April 2005 sorry i must be blind there is a nokia folder in my program files just has my dku lead driver in it tho not the nokia pc suit which is what i'm after 97975[/snapback] Couple of things to try: 1) Make sure the phone is not plugged into your computer. 2) Rename the Nokia folder to Nokia-Old (or something). 3) Open task manager and see if there are any Nokia tasks running. If there are then end the tasks. Try to reistall the software. If that doesn't work then you need to get down and dirty with the Windows Registry. This can be a bit daunting if you're not that good with computers and it can also screw up your PC if you make a mistake. I can offer some help but only if you feel confident about editing the registry. Alternatively, you could trawl the Nokia support site and Nokia users forums for advice from people that are more familiar with the software. Deathside Posted 24 April 2005 Share Posted 24 April 2005 If you're running XP you could always try System Restore (Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore) Pick a date prior to when you deleted / lost the Nokia app This would be a lot safer than digging in the registry - especially if you don't know what you're doing in there
