Free football for unemployed season ticket holders

No they aren't hated, but a lot of the articles I have read mainly have issues with their fans, stating they aren't true Villarreal fans, meaning they have more than likely jumped on the band wagon due to their success in recent years. I remember when they first came up and then went back down, I thought that was the last of them, but how wrong was I.

I don't even think they are "competing above their station" any more at all, they are certainly getting stronger.

I hope the Catalans can continue to gloat, even more so when the perikos get relegated.

Yeah I don't mean they're still winging it. I think they've got an excellent team and play good football but you could fit the population of the town into the camp nou twice over; with the position they're in, they're acheiving more than logic and reason says they would.

Clearly they get a lot more fans in than they would if they were still in the segunda or whatever, but that's natural. I wonder how many of the statues and tourists inside the camp nou would be there if Barca weren't so successful.

Yeah that is true what your saying, I agree totally, being successful always brings more fans.

Barcelona have a great history and tradition, It is a great club, obviously not everyone likes them but I have been hooked since the 90's and have enjoyed watching the club over the years. I have been fortunate to see some great moments. I would love to organise a FT trip to Camp Nou. It would be class.

Where are you based in Spain?

Hopefully. Only 1 point of promotion atm. fook knows how, the standard of the segunda división is piss poor compared to the championship. 90 euro season tickets though which is sound.

Probably a lot less, obviously. May make their stadium a bit noisier though. Maybe they'd entertain the idea of letting the "naughty" bunch back in?!?

The naughty bunch are still very active in the stadium, Laporta didn't manage to ban every single one of them, the Boixos want to control the club the way it was intended, the peoples club, I think every president over the last 20-30 years has received death threats. Very crazy bunch, they do have some cool flags though.

Your right about the stadium atmosphere, certainly the best club I have been to watch but not the best atmosphere.

 that's ****ing mental! Definitely a passionate bunch, though. Guess there's no chance of them calming down and coming to some form of agreement at boardroom level either, in some sort of Schalke-type arrangement?

Atmosphere for such a big ground is neither good nor intimidating. I would suggest that they allow the entire naughty contingent back in, but I don't think you'd manage to keep them anything like under wraps if they're as mad as you make them sound. A ground like that really does deserve a great atmosphere to accompany it.
