Paypal and Chatting up Virtual Bots

Recommended Posts

It's happened again... purchased something from an ebay listing from India, delivery time: 14-28 days, but guess what, did not arrive within the 45 days in spite of the seller's reassurances (it's on its way, just wait one more week). And now neither ebay nor paypal seem to want to cover this purchase, so much for buyer protection. OK, it's "just $31" but still very annoying... ebay closed my transaction dispute without comment as well. Argh. Paypal just said "we cannot cover you for this transaction" (no explanation).

I was trawling along the detailed yet unhelpful massive help section on the paypal site when I came across Louise, the virtual assistant. So, I tried to get some answers from her (by this time, I was getting pretty frustrated)...

This unexpected reply made took me down a different path ....

OK, so you get the idea. What are paypal doing?

Are they trying to side-track us from our rightful complaints

by having us entertain ourselves (I can imagine a few guys trying to chat up Louise after a few beers)

talking to a virtual bot?

Well, it's not working... I still want my $31 back!!!

I'm sure the majority of your posts involve getting ripped off or screwed over. It seems to happen a lot more to you than your average person...

Really

Hey cisono do you fancy pm'ing your account number and sort code please. By doing this I will take a one off flat payment over 52 months and I will get your money back from India for you. Don't forget your ccv number.

lol
