Jay Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 It's actually a very good album, best effort from them about 15 years sounds nothing like there recent stuff while still sounding like a Manic Street Preachers Album
Libertine Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Send Away the Tigers was really good IMO. This is great musically, but the sound is horrid. So overproduced.
Guest Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 It's actually a very good album, best effort from them about 15 years sounds nothing like there recent stuff while still sounding like a Manic Street Preachers Album It's Richey Edwards's songs, isn't it? Saw an interview with Nicky Wire, and he was saying it took years before he could read them; apparently Richey handed them over to him just before he went missing. It was quite moving.

Realise how lonely this is Self-defeated and forget Drowned in love and false kisses A gathering of no meaning That shadow is a cross okay Judgement must willing today Silence is not sacrifice Crucifixion is the easy life

Must have been hard for the rest of the band with lyrics like that.

Libertine Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 I'm listening again and it's much better turned the fuck up.
jimmer Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 This really is a great album, best scince THB. Stick with it Libertine Got so much more grit than their recent stuff
Libertine Posted 26 July 2009 Posted 26 July 2009 I love this now. Really love it. Some of the lyrics are really brilliant.
Libertine Posted 26 July 2009 Posted 26 July 2009 The Holy Bible is insanely awesome too. Actually hadn't listened to it until now, despite buying it about 2/3 years ago.
Guest Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 I loved the first 4 albums, then went right off them as they started to get bland. I'll have to have a gander at this
Fosse Boy Posted 26 May 2011 Posted 26 May 2011 Been listening to this daily for the last two weeks, really is as good as anything they did before the late nineties.
