davieG Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Due to at least one team having to play 3 games the trot and most of the others 2 gamesI've taken the liberty of reducing the playing time in the 'rounds' to 12 minutes and the change over time to 6. It makes for funny start times but increases the recovery time. It also gives us some leeway for the final in case we start late or run over. Because of the number teams/pitches it was inevitable that one team was going to be unlucky so I used one of the online fixture schedulers to produce it randomly unfortunately for Team F they've come up with the 3 consecutive games. Anyway here's all the updated details and the schedule. QUOTE Venue: St Margaret' Pastures: Date: Saturday 13th June: Time: 10:45am for 11:00 KO Cost / Subs: £32/hr x 3 hrs = £96 / 6 teams = £16 / 7 players = £2.30ish each player NB: Each Team will be responsible for £16 which must be paid before we play. So if everyone can get there by 10:45 at the latest to make sure we get the full allocated time and that we pay in advance. Tournament: 6 Teams of 6 with one Sub Round Robin where each team plays the other - league based 3 points for a win, goal difference etc 1st & 2nd teams play-off to determine tournament winners Round Robin = 15 games x 12 minutes + 5 minutes for change over Play-off = 1 games x 20 minutes Teams: A. Tommeh, Ched, David Guiza, J Liesmore, Flynny, Uncle Albert, JoeyB. B. OriginalRobboFox, Tevez, LD3, Syston, Ashley, Potter, Granno. C. Shingler, Bert, Scoweh, Samilktray, Singh, Sparky, Corky D. RowlattsFox, AmericanScott, Fezzler, UnknownFox, Cat Burger, Jme, Mikey. E. Maybes, Nathko, Joe., Bakey, MannPablo, Finners, Kareem. F. Cobbo, Mark, Smuts, MTWG, Kilworth, C-Man, filbertway. Team Colours: Team A – Yellow; Team B - Royal Blue; Team C - Black/Navy Blue Team D – White; Team E – Red; Team F - Green Referees: isaidno & DB11 - Can the referees please ensure that each game takes no longer than 12 minutes in total. Playing Rules: 12 minutes duration – no added time Players shall only represent the team in which they have been selected to play. Roll on /off subs at the goal that they are defending when ball is out of play. No head height rule (Goalkeepers must throw the ball out, under shoulder height) If passed back the keeper must not handle the ball. Only goalkeepers are allowed in the goal area. If an attacker goes into the area, unless he directly affects the play (which would result in goalkeepers ball), play just continues. If the defender goes into the area and directly affects the play (accidental or not) then a penalty is given, if the player goes into the area but doesn't directly affect play, then play continues. If the keeper passes it to you, you can't pass it straight back to the goal keeper - if you do then it's a penalty. Any free kicks are in-direct. Throw-ins and corners can be kicked in or thrown in underarm. No Offsides. No added time e.g. for ball going out of play, lost balls, injuries, substitutions. The rest of the game rules are as per 11 a side rules. Final: 1st & 2nd teams play-off to determine tournament winners. 20 minutes duration – no added time If a draw after 20 minutes – penalty shoot out, best of 7 (every player) then sudden death. The above 2 rules subject to time being available 7-a-side. (No subs) - Full size pitch (TBA). Finnegan Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Just to say that, after three hours, 7-a-side is a good idea to get everyone in play but "Full Size Pitch" will be hugely ambitious, haha. Otherwise no problem, looking good! Thanks davie.

I thought as it was just for fun and we know that really the team finishing top are really the winners maybe each of the finalist can select 1 or 2 players from the non-finalists to make a big game of it - just an idea.

Finnegan Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 IMPORTANT UPDATE!! Anyone planning on bringing moulds should apparently bring trainers or astros just in case, by recommendation of Bert, as some of the staff there (depending who's working) may cause fuss.
