Blue Foxes Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 How many places are there available for the WC, for South America?
Big Ol' Bob Posted 6 June 2009 Author Posted 6 June 2009 It is the top 4 teams who qualify for 2010, with the fifth placed South American team having a play off with a team from Concacaf (Caribbean, Central and North American Confederation). At the minute the table looks like this... 1. Paraguay 24 2. Brazil 21 3. Chile 12 20 4. Argentina 19 -------------------------- 5. Uruguay 17 -------------------------- 6. Colombia 14 7. Ecuador 14 8. Venezuela 13 9. Bolivia 12 10. Peru 7
lildave3 Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 Excellent. Gotta love the odd South American Qualifying times.
Shrenchel Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 Anyone got a link? It's dry as a nun's cvnt, can't find anything working.
Darkzzz_ Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 Oh dear this keeper isn't having the greatest of games is he... Brazil should have conceded by now...
Ultra Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 An excellent result for Brazil - winning 4-0 in Montevideo. Argentina were less impressive, scraping a 1-0 win at home to Colombia. But the top four is now pretty much sorted.
Darkzzz_ Posted 8 June 2009 Posted 8 June 2009 Argentina were pretty poor I agree, maybe just edged it on their better showing in the second half. Brazil looked magnificent against a usually strong Uruguay and Chile got a great win too.
Ultra Posted 8 June 2009 Posted 8 June 2009 A five-point gap will be hard for them to close. And Ecuador and/or Venezuela might well overhaul them in the race for a play-off spot.
