I'm really not sure, I know for a fact these Poles are of agency, I know for a fact they get paid around 6 to 8 quid an hour, So then add the agency fees i'm guessing your looking at around 9 or 10 quid a hour, possibly more?

I do understand the rest of what you are saying, although it doesn't matter if the shops are selling things cheap or not if English people are out of work and have no money, cheap products or not they won't be able to afford them.

Its a catch 22 shopfitting is (Which is why I want out of it and looking at another aspect of the trade say Kitchen Fitting or something) because more and more English people are becoming out of work, The employers want cheap workers (Poles), no-one is spending in the shops because no-one has any money, that means they are not having new shops fitted.

At the moment, home improvements is your best bet. Rather than buying, folks will be looking to improve what they've got. Have you thought about starting up on your own? Ask around family, friends, and offer to do work for them. You will have to make sacrifices (obviously not charge too much for labour, and using contacts to get best prices etc), but by doing this you will gain a good reputation, which is worth the financial hit. If you do a good job, you will find people recommending you, and that's when you can start to be less generous. Play it right, and you could have a handy little business.

Yeah I have considered it, but I feel i've not got the experience yet, I have the piece of paper but still have alot to learn, I suppose I can do that working for myself but i'm just not confident enough yet.

I have a temporary job at the moment at somewhere which is Shopfitting, but 4 other temporary people have started with me, whether they are thinking the best one gets a job I don't know, but I doubt it I think we are temporary and that is it but we'll see could lead to other things (The 4 other temporary people have worked there temporary before) I reckon it could be regular temporary work which at the moment would suit me.

Put all arguments aside you have to understand how hard it is at the moment, and how frustrating it is seeing jobs 'stolen' by foreign people when you haven't been offered it back and have no leg to stand on. As I said I accept and understand your arguments too.

I have chosen a career that has serious competition from the indigenous population, and have already had several knock backs. That's my choice.

Things are tough, but things are cyclical, and whilst you're down at the moment, you've just got to hope you've hit rock bottom, then things will get better. If you think like this, you really appreciate the good times, and never take them for granted.

It's always the way that when one opportunity comes along, so will others. I hope it works out for you.

I was a bloody good employer to them - Within reason I did all the hours they asked, I did all the Overtime they asked, I did the job spot on, I worked through the night many a time, I came in and started work in the middle of the night or very early in the morning for them, I traveled all over the country for them, I asked for many pay-rises they didn't give me them yet I still worked hard for them, I put up with shit from them, and still get no thanks and shit on.

What i'm saying is I have no problems with the Poles, I actually got on with them really well, they were a good laugh, when they come here and millions of English people are on the dole and the country is on it's knees and yet we don't get our jobs offered back - that is when I have the problem and blame the EU immigration policy.

I know mate, I was only taking the piss but really sitting around on an Internet forum whinging that jonny foreigner has stolen your job is a bit cringeworthy. Chat to your trade union, join the BNP or just move on with your life.
