Picked all 3 up for around a tenner off ebay and the Amazon marketplace. Not sure why, just randomly got Xen Cuts and on the strength of the first few songs bought a few more albums. Probably should of got them in chronological order, but hey.

mja Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 I like quite a bit of the stuff on Ninja Tune. I'm listening to the latest DJ Vadim album lately, also got Your mom's favourite DJ by Kid Koala the other day, which is not quite as good as I'd hoped, but was dirt cheap. I love all the Blockhead stuff, and there is plenty more quality on there. Does any one get the solid steel podcasts? What others of a similar style are worth subscribing to? Tru-thoughts, a label based down in Brighton and a sweedish label called G.A.M.M might be worth a look too.
The Reverend Posted 12 July 2009 Author Posted 12 July 2009 I'm really getting into this now. Bought Funkungfusion, Zentonedada and Trouser Jazz. Loving Mr Scruff. His tune 'Ug' is fucking brilliant! Love that! I was watching a signed copy of Ninja Tuna aswel, forgot about it and it went for 4 quid! Nearly cried. Loving a bit of Kid Koala aswel. That Discogs website is pretty bloody good aswel.
mja Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Good stuff. Saw mr Scruff a coiuple of years ago- one of the best nights I've been to. It's a shame that there aren't enough places supporting this sort of thing in Leicester. Just ordered The Heavy's album from Play.com, only a fiver.
